Students Trip to PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Pasuruan, East Java Last November

Students of the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Airlangga visited PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Pasuruan, East Java for the first time after the pandemic. This trip is one of the work programs of the Information and Communication Department of BEM FKM UNAIR. There were approximately 100 participants who went to Pasuruan on November 25th, 2022. This activity took place from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm. Because the departure was held on Friday, the participants departed from FKM at 10.00 am and then stopped at the Cheng Ho Mosque at 11.00 am to do Friday prayers. The activity lasted long enough because it included travel time and activity time at the factory. During the activity, students of the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Airlangga were invited to visit 2 large factories located at PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. The two factories are the Pocari Sweat factory and the Soyjoy factory. Students were given an explanation about the products at PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. Some of the products produced by the factories are Soyjoy, Pocari Sweat, Oronamin C, and Fibe Mini. At the end of the activity, each student was given a goodie bag containing all products that PT Amerta Indah Otsuka produced. This activity is an annual activity held by BEM FKM UNAIR. This trip is an industrial visit that was held on-site after being held through an online platform last year due to the pandemic. Hopefully, this outing program can help students to get to know the work environment and get new relations from the company visited. The choice of places to visit was adjusted to the needs of Nutrition and Public Health students. PT Amerta Indah Otsuka was chosen because of its unique and visitable factory and workplace that is in line with the Nutrition and Public Health majors. In the future, this outing is expected to be held in various factories that are more unique, interesting, and useful for the students.
