On November 27, 2022, Comdev 2022 as one of the work programs of the Community Service Department of BEM FKM UNAIR held Closing Comdev 2022 activities at the Field and Hall of RW 3 Asem Jajar, Surabaya. This activity is the closing agenda of community service and empowerment by Comdev 2022 in this period. For almost a year, Comdev 2022 has been working on programs to increase the capacity and health of the fostered village communities, namely the RT 5, RT 10, and RT 11 communities in RW 3 Asem Jajar Surabaya City. Comdev 2022’s flagship program focuses on solving waste and environmental problems, in the form of waste banks, composting, and cultivation of pandanus and tin fruit plants. The selection of the type of program and the type of plant is based on the results of discussions and brainstorming by the Comdev 2022 committee and the target village community through the Comdev 2022 Socialization activity.
The main activity of Comdev 2022 is monitoring which is carried out every 3 weeks to monitor the progress of the target community related to the program initiated by Comdev. These monitoring activities include waste bank activities, and alternately in each monitoring are composting and plant cultivation activities. In addition, Comdev 2022 also successfully carried out a visit or benchmarking activity to Pertamina Green Village in the Jagir Wonokromo Region with the title “Comdev Goes To Kampung Hijau Pertamina” as an output of the mid-year monitoring and evaluation that has been carried out. The visit was carried out to increase the motivation and enthusiasm of the fostered village cadres to develop the Asem Jajar Village area.
The Closing Comdev 2022 activity as a symbolic closing of community empowerment by Comdev 2022 includes a series of gymnastics, games, health checks, and year-end evaluation and handover of positions. This series of activities is suitable to be used as a closing of all programs that have been pursued by the entire Comdev 2022 committee. In this activity, there was also a year-end evaluation delivered by committee representatives and cadre representatives in Asem Jajar, with the aim of getting two perspectives on the implementation of Comdev 2022. The Comdev 2022 after movie video was also played, showing various activities during the Comdev 2022 period.
In her speech, Dr. Santi Martini, dr., M.Kes, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Airlangga, expressed her support and appreciation for this Comdev 2022 activity. Furthermore, Maurilla Shafira, as the Chief Executive of Comdev 2022 also expressed her gratitude for the invaluable support and assistance from the community of the fostered villages, as well as the enormous support by the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Airlangga, as well as the efforts and hard work of the entire Comdev 2022 committee during one period so that Comdev 2022 activities can reach this point. “The Closing Comdev 2022 activity marks the end of service and empowerment by the Comdev 2022 Committee. At the end of this Comdev 2022 activity at the same time we carry out the handover of positions. I, Maurilla Shafira Putri, hereby hand over the mandate, responsibility and position of Chairperson of Comdev 2022 to the Chairperson of Comdev 2023, namely Mbak Yasmin Nuriyah. Hopefully Comdev 2023 with Mbak Yasmin can continue the baton of the struggle for service in the Asem Jajar community well.” Said Maurilla Shafira, Chief Executive of Comdev 2022 at the handover session. Mrs. Dr. Santi Martini, dr., M.Kes as the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health Universitas Airlangga also expressed her appreciation for the dedication and contribution of the entire Comdev 2022 committee for the continuity of Comdev 2022 activities and her hopes for Comdev 2023. Mr. Taufiq Rachmanu, as the Head of RW 3 Asem Jajar, also expressed his hope for Comdev 2023 to be able to continue the empowerment efforts of Comdev 2022, especially in the field of MSMEs from the waste bank process, composting, and plant cultivation that Comdev 2022 has done.
