Prevention and Control of Heart Disease and Stroke (KME426) - 3 SKS/ 4.8 ECTS | This course covers the theory of prevention and control of heart disease and stroke, including risk factors for heart disease and stroke, health financing (direct and indirect costs) and burden of disease, early detection, prevention and management of heart disease and stroke as well as efforts to improve the quality of life of stroke survivors or rehabilitation. As well as the prevention and control of heart disease and stroke from the aspects of nutrition and exercise, the role of stakeholders (government, parliament, civil society) and health promotion efforts in the prevention and management of heart disease and stroke. Lectures are carried out with an integrated or interprofessional education approach. Lectures are carried out by lecture, discussion, exercise, case method, assignments in the form of projects and seminars. |
Epidemiology Research (KME417) - 2 SKS/ 3.2 ECTS | This subject covers the concepts and principles of epidemiological research, causal relationship criteria in concluding epidemiological research results, association calculations, types and designs of epidemiological research and its components, research ethics and ethical clearance. |
Epidemiology of Tropical Disease (KME407) - 3 SKS/ 4.8 ECTS | This study will discusses the magnitude of the problem of tropical diseases, their distribution in an Epidemiology approach, as well as the determinants and risk factors for infectious diseases, as well as aspects of preventing and controlling tropical diseases. The focus of the discussion is on the control and prevention of tropical diseases and the basic pathogenic mechanisms of selected tropical diseases which are currently still a big problem in public health. Lectures include laboratory sessions and class lectures. |
Epidemiology of Accident (KME420) - 2 SKS/ 3.2 ECTS | This lecture is delivered face to face, discussion between groups in class. The material discussed includes the definition of an accident, and the scope of the accident, accident problems, the concept of the cause of the accident. Discusses the concept of prevention in accidents. Understand the distribution of accident events according to place, time and person. Describes the measure of the frequency of accidents, namely the accident frequency rate, accident incident rate and accident severity rate. Discusses the relationship between worker absenteeism and disease patterns. Discusses the application of epidemiological research methods in accidents. For evaluation, giving independent assignments, assessing assignment presentations during discussions and midterm and final semester exams |
Epidemiology of Cancer (KME403) - 3 SKS/ 4.8 ECTS | This course discusses the concept of cancer epidemiology, carcinogen toxicology, and descriptive epidemiology of cancer which is a problem in Indonesia (lung, cervical, nasopharyngeal, leukemia, breast, liver, and colorectal cancer). In addition, an epidemiological study of cancer will be presented and the basis for conducting a critical review of published cancer research results. The last two topics will be implemented by giving assignments to conduct critical reviews of articles whose results will be presented at the presentation seminar. |
